Electromagnetic Tests

It is a non-destructive technique with high sensitivity and can be performed on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. This method groups a variety of tests such as Eddy Current (EC), Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL), Remote Field (RFT), Near Field (NFT), among others.

These techniques use maxwell's equations and integrate principles of electricity, magnetism and theories of electromagnetic induction. And they are widely used to detect seams, overlaps, cracks and very small surface and sub-surface indications.

This technique is requested in different industries for the inspection of condensers, heat exchangers and boilers, it is also used in the inspection of rotating parts such as blades and turbine shafts. This technique can be used in different stages of the manufacturing process.

In ISS, SRL we have experienced inspectors with a vast knowledge in ASTM standards and ASME code and certified inspectors level II EC/RFT under the scheme of the American Society for Non Destructive Testing (ASNT).

We also have portable equipment such as ECTANE2, with a frequency range of 5 HZ to 10Mhz, and a capacity of 8 Probes inputs and 2 coil drives. Our inspection procedures comply with the different international inspection standards.
