Thermography
Thermography is a technique that allows the determination of temperatures at a distance and without the need for physical contact with the object to be studied. Thermography allows the capture of infrared radiation of the electromagnetic spectrum, using thermal or thermovision cameras.
In the industrial sector, it is a predictive maintenance technique used to monitor the condition of machines, structures and systems. Thermographic cameras allow obtaining images of temperature distribution in electrical and mechanical equipment. These infrared thermography cameras translate, through complex algorithms, an infrared image into a radiometric image that allows reading the temperature values.
- This is how high abnormal temperatures are detected, for example, which are often the prelude to costly failures in electrical and mechanical installations. It allows for more reliable preventive maintenance.
- In ISS RD, SRL we have inspectors and certified technicians in thermography with a vast knowledge of the application of the technique in different applications in the mining sector, energy, oil, cement, sugar, food, water and others. We use several FLIR equipment with different configurations and options according to the required application.
